Star Sixes

Star Sixes is the new international football tournament that allows retired legend to compete once again. The tournament takes place at the O2 Arena in a six a side format with 12 national teams competing to be crowned the first ever Star Sixes champions.  Captains are selected for each nation and they select the squads for each nation respectively.  There is a group stage and then a knockout competition until the winner is decided. The likes of Roberto Carlos and Steven Gerrard will compete for four days starting from the 13/07/2017. Click Here For More Information

Le Tour De France

Le Tour De France attracts the most live spectators out of any sporting event in the world.  However, it is renowned as one of the most complicated races in the world.  Here is my explanation of Le Tour. Overview 22 teams take part in the 21 stage race around France and its bordering countries over the course of 23 days.  The teams compete for 4 main jerseys as well as 2 other awards, the best team awards and the most aggressive rider. Maillot Jaune (The Yellow Jersey) The yellow jersey is worn by the leader of the general classification.  This is the competition to finish the tour with the shortest overall time.  It is the main event for most watchers of the tour and has been awarded since 1919.  Most teams have one rider who they help to try and win this Jersey, e.g. Chris Froome for Team Sky.
